Zvezda is preparing to release a Star Destroyer kit. The vessel measures 60cm long, too short, perhaps?

24" is a nice size. Will look great if paired with micro-sized fighters. |

Interesting, I've been looking for an iconic Star Wars 'ceiling hanger' vessel for my son and other Zvezda kits seem to be reasonably priced. Not sure I'd find a gaming use for one though…but I'll give it some serious thought! (I have to say after 'cool' my second thought was 'I wonder if it's licensed?' and IIRC correctly Zvezda does have some previous in this area.) |

Hmm well it looks very interesting, but at 60cm/24 in., right off I'd say that they have 'sized themselves' Out of the gaming market, but it would make a great "ceiling hanger" or display model. Several Yrs ago, I came across a reference book that listed the Imp. class SD at 1,600 meters and the Super SD to be 5x that size at 8,000 meters. For the sake of argument, take that old reference as 'cannon'; 60cm would be great for the Executioner, Super SD, which means the Imp. SD would / should be 12cm or just over 4 INCH's. As I said this was 'several yrs ago' and IIRC, the ship data was for an RPG game, and LONG before any SW ship to ship wargames came out. |
