No date yet for those of us in Australia, and I wonder how big the king box is going to be. Jules Still not sure I will play this |

I got mine a few days ago, like you I went for the Barbarian pledge. The rules as written are full of holes, I learned a lot from this video. link As I write this my wife and I have just finished the first scenario, she won as the heroes on the last turn. I think it is a very good game, I wasn't so sure after a couple of solo attempts but now I have the game sequence sussed I love it. |

>> I wasn't so sure after a couple of solo attempts but now I have the game sequence sussed I love it. << I didn't think that it was possible to play this game solo. Have you found a way to do it? |

Still waiting for mine to arrive. I went all in on the mega deluxe deal with a few add-ons as well. From the Kickstarter emails, it appears that I will receive mine in two shipments, which is fine, but we are fast running out of October and I am growing antsy!!! |

To the Shadow (great name) I just tried my best moves for both sides, it works OK for most games, I find. |

I watched a review of the "add ons" on Boardgamegeek. It's in French but the figures are shown close up. The sculpts are beautiful, but the figures are extremely waxy, which blurs the definition badly. Maybe a light gray primer coat would help, but a pro paint job would be much better. Unfortunately, that would add a *lot* to the cost of the game. For me, the main reason to buy this game is the outstanding sculpts, so as it is, i'm glad that I didn't invest. |

If you're looking for "outstanding" figures, I wouldn't look at boardgames. The Reaper forums are the best place to find KS projects of better miniatures. No point buying a miniature if you're paying for the boardgame development and printing, and these miniature boardgame KS have *way* too many miniatures to paint to display or other high standard. |

>>these miniature boardgame KS have *way* too many miniatures to paint to display or other high standard.<< I agree, but they are still miniatures board games, which means, i assume, that well sculpted miniatures are part of the draw for that game. so why not a decent plastic that shows off the sculpt to enhance the game? >>No point buying a miniature if you're paying for the boardgame development and printing<< I disagree. There's no reason why we can't pay for both the game and the minis, but of course we should expect minis that enhance the game, not detract. |

Mine just came today – have to say I'm very pleased and impressed with the artwork, boards and minis. Hopefully the game itself will be as good as everything else! |

Got mine, BIG Box! Ready to start reading the rules! |

Kicking myself for not jumping in. How do the mini's measure up against other figures? Xin |
Tom D1 | 27 Oct 2016 10:29 a.m. PST |
Are the figures 28mm or 15mm or something else? |

32mm for the human sized models – the monsters, demons and beasts can be much larger. Thaug is huge and in 4 parts |

> so why not a decent plastic that shows off the sculpt to enhance the game? Money? Boardgamers will only pay so much for a miniatures boardgame. > There's no reason why we can't pay for both the game and the minis Money? Boardgamers will only pay so much for a miniatures boardgame. Miniature wargames, such as Games Workshop, have higher quality miniatures than miniature boardgames, but, again, they have a much higher price tag that boardgamers won't pay. Dungeon Saga and Shadows of Brimstone have higher quality figures in resin, but they're sold separately, not as part of the base game (or even SG's during the KS). One definite exception you might be interested in (and has a KS on Black Friday) is Kingdom Death. Retail for the base set is something like $400 USD and expansions go for $100. USD |
