At last we have an update for you on our 1809 Danube Campaign. These reports will by necessity lag behind the real time campaign so the players don't learn something they shouldn't.

The fortress looks like an eclectic mix of WH40K and maybe Zvezda towers? Or Ian Weekly?

Well done on this btw, we used "Empires in Arms" awhile ago for a very large pan-European campaign to generate battles. I was 1806 Prussia and did quite well, almost capturing Napoleon a couple of times. I have this boardgame as well as others, and always think about doing this. You have inspired me!!

I have an 1809 campaign waiting to play with our group, using the old Wargamers Digest system and maps.
Yours looks great, what board game is it derived from?

Reminds me of an old CLS game.

Hi again,
many thanks for commenting.
The castle walls are plastic, the smaller ones are Zvesda, the bigger ones are almost certainly GW's old Mighty Fortress but we don't know as they were found in a junk shop!
The map is from the Avalon Hill board game "Danube 1809", it's about 6 feet long!
This campaign will run for months so pop back.
Be good,
Jeremy

Many thanks for this great posting on Danube 1809! Interesting to see the strategic view and how it unfolds into a Bavarian disaster. Nice miniatures to.

A very interesting report, a fine wargames table and lot of stunning miniatures. Compliments
