So what AWI games are people putting on or playing in at FI?

47Ronin18 Oct 2016 3:56 p.m. PST

According to Walt O'Hara's Guidebook analysis (which is listed under the "Conventions and Wargames Shows" topic, there are 10 AWI games scheduled for Fall In. By my count, that makes AWI tied for the 8th spot (along with WWI) in terms of games per period.

According to Guidebook, there are also 4 FIW games listed. A somewhat distant cousin to AWI, but still all in the family. Many of the AWI heroes, especially for the Americans, got their start there.

Enjoy the games. Hope to see you there.

So is anyone here running an AWI game at the con? Or is anyone planning on playing in any of the games listed?

historygamer21 Oct 2016 5:52 p.m. PST

Thanks for posting this. Good to see a nice offering of 18th century games. I hope to see some of you at the Germantown game Saturday afternoon.

Dave Bonk (Carnage and Glory games) also runs a really impressive set up people should visit while there.

Point of clarification, I ran the numbers based on what the events spreadsheets themselves say. I acknowledged up front that it's only as good as the data I get. If, for example, an event like "S:171 Flint and Feather" gets a label like "Age of Muskets" or something, it's counted in that category.
