Years ago, I ran across some rules and webpages/groups that were using the Lancaster variant of B-17, Queen of the Skies boardgame, for RAF night bombing raids over Europe.

With the last PC crash, sadly, I lost those, and the few links that look like they might be the ones to those I've run across are broken – Squadron Groups people had set up for the night bombing raids.

I've been on Boardgamegeek.com, and they don't appear to be listed in the files section there, so they may have been someone's house rules, and/or club/group rules people were using for that.

The standard Lancaster rules are there in the files section, but not the more detailed ones, that included other nightfighter variants for the Ju-88C and G, He-219, Do-217N, and FW-190A. There may have been some other rules included as well, for additional gaming interest.

I'd love to see a Stirling bomber rules variant too, if there's one as well, for that bomber.

So, I'd like to know if any of you recall those, know of a possible link to them, or have a copy you'd be willing to share with me?

Go to the Steve Dixon Gaming website: skdgaming.com

Look in the Extras section

I think you will find what you are looking for there. I was a playtester for Steve when he was developing his B-29 title and also was a member back when he ran a B-17 on-line Group.

Thanks for your help and link.

I ran across that last night, but sadly, no dice.

There are rules for the Ju-88, but more as a day fighter.

The info I'm looking for had aircraft stats, rules, and flow-charts/docs for running Wilde Sau / Wild Boar, and Zahme Sau / Tame Boar attacks on Lancasters.

IIRC, there was a step by step procedure to follow for those, with charts interspersed, to permit those type of attacks on the bombers. I think the creator may have been located in the UK, or more likely, Europe.

Try here and contact Magnus Kimura, he may still have those files. link

select the HE-111 Spade under catagories and it will get you to files for bombing with a Halifax as well as with a HE-111.

I have found references to the files you desire for nightfighters, but as of yet I've not found a valid link to them.

I'd also recommend contacting Steve Dixon from his website, again, if anybody still has the files, my bet would be on Steve.

Only thing I can find is on this page, but it is for Hampdens attacking the continent in 1939. Just another variant

in grognard.com there is a Spanish language B-17 variant
that has the planes you mention (pages 6,31) and lancaster (pgs 43-48)
you'd of course have to translate it, but shouldn't be difficult with the various Sp to En translators on the web.
PDF link

also on consimworld, there was mention of other fighter specs
in SPI's Moves Magazine No 69, article, <A bomber's moon>.

hope these help
