My SPACE 1889 kick was started when I bought a Crossover Miniatures Omura class airship. It's a 28mm laser-cut MDF 'not-a-Hullcutter' and is pretty darn big, with room for a lot of crew.

It also needs a lot of artillery for the deck, with various long and short guns, and a massive Lob Gun amidship.

Here's how I made the guns and gunners for my airship!

Great – and the worst WON'T come to the worst because we demand to see the ship completed with these on board….

I'd just like to point out that was a different Doug that made that comment.

Me complaining on anything finished or not falls horribly to glass-house syndrome.

My own screw galley is only half complete, for instance…

Me complaining on anything finished or not falls horribly to glass-house syndrome.

Same with me but I'm just very demanding and lacking in self-awareness….grin

Also, the mighty gisby knows who I am and is well aware of my unreasonable demands regarding finishing this project – I intend to keep prodding him mercilessly about it.

It's OK, my father was named Douglas as well: I am quite used to being a disappointment.

But I can keep my Moonraker Dougs, and my Beastly Dougs separate.

And Beast, I want to see that Screw Galley!

Intriguing, what rules would you use to make these guys useful? Like the idea of crew all reading the guns and then firing at the enemy while flying over the Martian landscape though.

I would suggest Gaslight. That is what we used for my 1919 Venus in Mutiny game a few weeks ago with the bug Crossover not-Aphid.
