After the towers and the gates and the walls I am finally working on the main keep of the castle.

Here a little picture of the current status. Working my way from the top down…

The scale is for 25-30mm figures but can be printed and built for other scales. See the GW and LEGO mini in this pic to get an idea :-)

The tower is modular, so it is up to you how many of the up to five levels you want to build. Actually there will be an option of same size intermediate roof (like the SCB1 tower) where you can build as high as you want!

I have got all the roof parts done. Next is texturing the roof :-)

Quick update on the progress. Finished all the outside textures and got my prototype build ready today. How do you like it?

Sorry for not answering earlier. There is another project that I wanted to complete first.

I want to do stone foundations if they are doable reasonably with paper. I have some prototypes and ideas I am working on but I will first finish the castle set and then follow up on the foundations.

They need to be sturdy enough, stackable (not talking about storage here but if you want a rising castle terrain) and easy enough to build. Easier than just making it out of styrofoam.

So, the intention is there. I am waiting for the muse to kiss me :-)

Progress on the interior…

The third (middle of five) level.

And the large bottom level (14x12") built using fold-flat modules. Allows easy assembly/disassembly for safe storage.

The modules are made out of three layers (outside, middle fold-flat flaps and insert space and inside) and therefore are very sturdy.

Where can these be purchased from?

This set is not available yet (in development but almost done). I will post information as soon as it is done and you can visit my website for more info and other finished sets (www.papierschnitzel.com)

Last step finished. The great audience hall variation.

When I saw the build of the big level completed I remembered the scene in the Shogun mini series, where Navigator Blackthorne meets Toranaga in the castle. I instantly thought, I want to make this too :-)

Now I can focus on getting the set production ready!
