Good stuff (BTW you don't sound the way I thought you would. You have an accent….)

Whenever I walk into my local Jo-Ann Fabrics they say "hear comes the toy soldier guy."

That's my "stage voice."

What accent?

Some good ideas there, especially the fields!

On the subject of fabric stores, though not, I fear, on the subject of wargames scenery, I found cotton printed in brown tones with pictures from the caves at Lascaux. Now, my painting and storage room has curtains with Cro-Magnon men hunting aurochs. I could have bought Native American petroglyph prints instead, but liked the Lascaux scenes better.

EC:

Are you left-handed? You certainly were leading with that hand.

I picked up a terrific mottled tan, cotton material, enough to cover a 5X9 ping-pong table for ten bucks… it was a close-out sale. It was beige and much like the red laval material you shared.

Thanks for sharing. Lots of good stuff. The different thicknesses of fur are really useful.

What accent?

American, I think. I don't have any accent at all so I notice these things.

We owned a fabric shop in the late 1980s until my wife came down with cancer for the third time when we had to sale it. Yes there was plenty of stuff that I saw at the distributor which could be used for wargaming.

nice video.

I tried several fabric shops in my area, and there never was any corduroy to be found. : (

I finally ordered some online, but turns out it wasn't the right corduroy, as it doesn't really look fields.
