Surprisingly the rumours we have been hearing about this have all proven to be true.

In my opinion this makes this set a better value than the Calth set which was already a good deal. Depending, of course, on whether or not you just want a marine force vs. total number of miniatures.

You basically have the same format as Calth with the Contemptor being replaced by 5 Custodes and 5 Sisters of Silence.

I'll probably paint up the first box of this I buy as needed for the board game. The second box I'll probably do all of the marines as Thousand sons.

So all the marines will be in MKIII armour, which is something the fans have been begging for since Calth came out.

Plastic MKIII marines will make a lot of conversion possible for some of the specialist squads, like Breachers.

It is tough to see the Sisters of Silence but they might be convertible to Sisters of Battle. Tough to tell from the small picture.

Too bad it doesn't include a release date. I guess we are about a week out from when the White Dwarf should be released with more info.

So maybe 1st/2nd week of November?

Those, esp. the Sisters, will do nicely for my Edge of the Imperium campaigns…

I'll pick up a pair of boxes, and probably trade off the Sisters and one set of Custodes. Mine will likely all end up as Fenryka, like I did with my three Calth boxes.

Best deals GW has had in some time!

People have complained about the presence of the Sisters and Custodes because it makes the set less generic. They have also complained about the characters because the characters in Calth were pretty generic.

I like them, but I'm going to do Prospero. Still I would think it would be easy enough to get rid of the Sisters and the Custodes on ebay or here or wherever. There are some people that will just want them and won't want to drop $150 USD on the boxed set just for 5 models.

I would imagine we will see a larger release for at least the Custodes.

It says something in the text about rules for them in 40K being available for pre-order.

I'm not super excited about Sisters, but definitely looking at picking up the Mk IIIs and Custodes! I'll probably buy them off Ebay in broken down sets like I did for the last one…

For all the kurfuffel, GW still produces simply outstanding miniatures. These look great.

Id really like the Custodes, perfect as Emperors bodyguard for my Assault on Horus battlebarge Space Hulk game.
