I finally finished my 15mm Portuguese and Dutch armies for Irregular Wars link

Doc: They look fantastic! Very impressed with the painting and basing. I have unpainted Dutch and Portuguese that I need to get on my painting table and finish off. I'm reading "Bringers of War" which is fantastic inspiration to work on the Portuguese. Look forward to seeing some battle reports using IW, love the rules!

They are an excellent set of rules. I use them with Tlingits and various California coastal tribes they raided. Some neat mechanisms to the game.

Oh and Doc, those are excellent little armies, you're right, the terrain is perfect for them.

Very neat.

The cards are listed as optional. How does the game play without them?

The game works fully without the cards, but they do add an extra level of interest and tension.

A fun and interesting set of rules. They give a good game at home with friends, and I've also used them to put on a game at a local con.

Doc, those look fantastic. I'm rather jealous of all those Portuguese!
