Two of them, in fact. But the one most likely to be greenlit is an MTV series that I'm sure will be set in the modern day and feature several attractive millennials as the main characters. link Anyone remember the War of the Worlds series from the 80s? The one where everybody simply forgot about the alien invasion? Yeah… |

The 80s show was shot through with continuity errors and implauisibility, but man did it nail a creepy tone and a sense of unstoppable dread. I also loved the Army attache, the guy who was in Predator as well. |

Must have been a real snoozer in the '80s, since I don't remember it. Clearly, ALL of the writers have writers' block, and can come up with no new ideas/plots of their own, as we've seen in the various Star Wars movies – most recently as demonstrated by Episode 7. Now many times can the Death Star story be recycled, slightly tweaked, and retold, over, and over, and over again? |

The one with Adrian Paul. In my area they showed it at 11:00 Sunday mornings. Need I say more? |

The second season went on a totally different, and even more nonsensical, arc. But the first season was some good stuff, from the perspective of atmosphere, weirdness, and horror. As for a story that made sense, not so much. Love it nevertheless. |

We are nothing without your consul. The first season was much better than the second. |

Richard Chaves is the dude,Grignotage;(Col. Paul IronHorse in the '80's series). Had a fine looking knife too. I recall the show too,Ann Robinson(from the 1953 movie )was in an episode as her character, Sylvia VanBuren and had a psychic link to the aliens,if I remember. |

Mako11 I disagree. There have been some very interesting and exciting shows on TV during the last couple of years. Well acted stuff too! Some of my favorites have been: "Justified", "The Black List", "Hell On Wheels and "The Walking Dead". During the 1970's through the 1990's I hardly watched TV at all, except for comedies. I've been watching a *lot* more TV lately. |

Right now is being termed a golden age of TV drama. Cable has changed everything. |

Yeah, TV is generally much better now than movies. Lots of great long form storytelling, especially outside the major networks. |
