Outside of NFL games, this is the first series on the "original" networks that I have followed for years.
The premise is simple. Like Tim Clancy's Executive Orders, the President, Congress, Supreme Court, Cabinet etc are all wiped out by an explosion at the Capitol. Clancy did it pre 9/11 with an airliner doing a kamikaze crash.
On DS, that has not been revealed yet.
In EO, our hero Jack Ryan had just been sworn as VP in a very unlikely scenario.
In DS, our hero is a cabinet officer, HUD Secretary.

Episode One was a blast. Literally.
Two and Three kind of lagged and lost steam.
Last night's Episode Four took up the slack. POTUS is starting to kick butt and take names.

My son read that the show has been given the green light for 22 episodes.

Good stuff.

I enjoy it so far. Kiefer started off looking weak and indecisive but he's learning fast as last night's episode showed. I gave it a review myself right after the pilot: TMP link

I've only seen one episode. I wanted to watch last night, but I missed it. It looks like it has some potential.

I like the program. But I have a question, since it is now possible for a bomb to take out the president and both houses, would it not be better to have someone higher in the administration as a survivor?

I have been enjoying it. He did kick butt last evening and that was great.
