If you didnt know, Battlefront is doing 40% off Vietnam, Great War and Fate of a Nation til the 31st.

So I want to get 2 starter forces and the book. Any ideas on what to buy for each side?

I want to do Egyptian

That's a good price. I wonder if they are dumping the lines to concentrate on TY or if they are going to do a reboot.

They did a 40% off on Vietnam once before. So not the first time. But yeah, it might be because TY is hot where those periods were not….

I don't think those lines are going to be discontinued. BF is simply trying to generate interest and buoy up sales of their smaller titles through incentives.

As tempting as the discount is, I've already decided to do a TY British Iron Maiden force. I also just bought a West German army recently so I have to try not to go overboard with my purchases. TY has become my "guilty pleasure" because I have to collect them all.

I'm buying Great War too. 2 starters and the trenches

For Vietnam, I think Ill just get the book

Or we can use this as an opportunity to stock up on items from those ranges with crossover potential to Team Yankee. M-48's, M-113's, M-557's, M-109's, T-55's, PT-76's…

That's what I was thinking as well.

If you play any cold war gaming, you basically can't have enough M113's and T55 :)

Now I need to convince myself that a sale is not a reason to start a new period/army.

This definitely won't help.

Yep, I'm getting close to expanding a little 'outdated equipment' battalion for a TY-rules-but-Middle-East gaming. Probably going to increase my T-55s to 12, have 10 total BTR-50s and 4 of the double-barrelled ZSU AA. Deciding whether to get PT-76 for a recon company as well…

By 'all' if you mean litteraly the entire TY line, that is one steep "guilty pleasure".

I do understand, w/ my 28mm dark age imagination forces that never seem to get 'done', the Colonial / Zulu war thats a WIP.. I "had" to go and start WLG's Bolt Actin Tank War in 15mm – 1/100. But God the TY mini's look great.
