This series placed the Early Germans on familiar home ground, the forest. Great battles and in the words of King Ballomar (John Ireland) in the movie Fall of the Roman Empire, "let us die killing Romans". link Cheers, Robert |

Interesting that the warband won all three actions, and without lurking warband in the woods. They even won when the Romans had a hill close! Thanks for another great post, Robert. |

Goragrad, I cannot explain it either. Herman and his followers simply blitz-ed the Roman line. Starting with the most important melee first, rather that saving it for last, winning that particular one created a cascade of loss such that the Romans could not recover. All three games were very brief. |
