I found the Poundland stuff to be very, very variable. It ranges from OK to atrocious. The worst offenders are blobby paint delivery, irregular coverage and under pressure cans that run out of propellant before you have used half the paint. I'm not sure it's worth the risk of ruining a mini, to be honest. Halfords primer, on the other hand, has always given brilliant coverage. Sits well on the surface, good control over flow and decent quantity per tin. It's also available in primer red which is very handy. Just a shame there isn't a white primer. |

Halfords do have white primer. I've used it for years along with the grey and the red. |

Yes, yes, quite right. I meant black. I knew it was either black or white they didn't do in a primer. I have got some of their flat, matt, black that I use for roads, but it needs to be applied over a primer. G. |

I've used the pound land stuff for terrain projects and its been fine. I'm a big fan of Halfords primers for the figures. Thanks for the heads up Eric. |

Goober, I agree with you about the black. It would be a useful addition to the range. |

Have stocked up, thanks for the heads up. Re. Poundland grey, mine was utter c#*p, luckily only bought it for terrain, a case of peanuts and monkeys. |

Poundland grey is garbage. Never had an issue with black. |
