After two days of fighting and although securing Merebich, the German defence of Langerwehe proved too tougher a nut to crack this time out… The Fallschirmjäger Engineer unit defending Merebich held out longer than anticipated and gave the Yanks a few problems till they gave way early in the afternoon when a Combat Command from 3AD helped out. But the main attacks on Langerwehe by C and D Companies went in too disjointed and didn't wait for the supporting armour, they had a rough time of it and although some troops made the railway embankment and dug in along at the end of the first day, they weren't able to push on into the town the second day. Big thanks to all those players who made the effort to attend and travel the distance to join in the Battlegroup Big Game 2016. With players from UK, Luxembourg, Germany and USA joining us in Ireland it was a very international event! |

Stunning looking game. Wish I could have been there. I think it's high time to bring one of these to the US! |

In between the StuG III and the derailed railway wagon are some Germans armed with odd looking Panzerfausts? Are they Panzerfausts or something else since they don't look like any pictures I've seen. Aside from that – another tour de force. EDIT – google hath spake unto me and they are clearly the rare Panzerfaust 150 or 250. I had heard of these but never seen any pictures – let alone models of them. |
