Does anyone have the inside baseball on what the Perry's will do next for their Napoleonic line?

Saxons stand out to me as conspicuous by its absence and i have been waiting patiently for its appearance.

But if anyone knows where it is in the queue please share. (they usually don't give out any hints when asked directly – I have tried!)

Thank you for asking this question as it was puzzling me too.

No idea but I think they would do the Spanish really well.

Calpe has a line of Saxons that are very good.

Going by their past actions, I think it likely that they will complete their current early British Napoleonics before they move onto something else. As has been stated there are other sources of Saxons at the moment (Calpe and Westfalia), and they did not do Saxons when they were the primary Foundry sculptors. In my personal opinion, you will have a long wait before the crown in Dresden's soldiers appear.

I'm still hopping for plastic Bavarians :-)

Westfalia Miniatures also has beautifully sculpted 28mm Saxons by Paul Hicks. Highly recommended. Light cavalry is on the workbench and nearing release.

Plastic British heavy cavalry (with enormous potential for conversion) would be my bet, surely……..peaked bearskin, dragoons helmets and Household crested helmet options. (Some will say horses' tails might be a problem I know…..docked or not, troopers jackets not 100% identical fronts?)

Enough call for them over last few years. Half the work is already done frankly, if you look at their plastic ranges…

But bless them, they do their own thing ….and wonderfully imaginative too. Who would have predicted Retreat, Egypt and the Amphibious stuff?

Wish they'd do the Russians skirmishing in shakos and greatcoats.

How bout a French voltigeur cornetist in greatcoat?

Well if we're going to talk about Saxons, forget the post 1809 Saxons. As pointed out, they've already been done by some very fine manufacturers.

1806-9 Saxons… now there's a hole that needs filling!

Russian Jager command and horse artillery would be very useful,

nine new Danish/Norwegians…..certainly imaginative and offbeat! Not sure it was what we were all hoping for though….
