I've been to Deadwood, Tombstone, and San Fransisco, and I enjoyed my time in all three. Thanks for this Tango.

Oh San Francisco in the 70's! Not quiet the same Portsmouth as I believe there is one in Britain too?

Cripple Creek was actually much bigger around the turn of the 20th Century than it is now- the mines have mostly closed, and the casinos aren't doing so hot. It's actually kind of nice- it's quiet enough there that it doesn't take much imagination to picture it as an old west town. Too bad there's nowhere decent to eat there, though.

Not a Wild West town? It's in the west & on Saturday night, when the Ringers come to town, it's pretty wild.

I'm building a house about 15 miles from Cripple Creek close to Guffey which makes Cripple Creek look like Denver.

Been to Tombstone several times. Planning to retire there in a few years. Then I'll travel around and visit some of the other sites listed.
