Did you ever buy a model or hobby product that you first learned about through a forum post by Tango01?

haywire07 Oct 2016 11:47 a.m. PST

No…

But he has lead me to several hobby blogs that I now read thanks to him.

Legbiter07 Oct 2016 11:48 a.m. PST

Yes, very many times.

dampfpanzerwagon Fezian07 Oct 2016 11:49 a.m. PST

No.

45thdiv07 Oct 2016 12:02 p.m. PST

Yes. Seriously. Tango posts such a wide range of stuff that there is bound to be some terrain, figures, or kickstarter that I find interesting.

But, really, if he would not twist my arm so hard, I might have more room in my game room. 😃🤔🤔🤔😂😂😂😂😂

He found 'stuff' that wasn't on my radar!

Stop embarrassing the guy. He provides a good and valuable service to TMP and doesn't like this sort of attention.

No, not yet.

Editor Bill, how can you of all people post something then end up correcting it yourself – you later cross posted this to Wargaming in General?

Do you remember Tango01 getting Dawghoused recently for not posting warnings for nudes? TMP ain't easy, is it?

grin

Tango0107 Oct 2016 12:46 p.m. PST

It is this necessary? … where it points? … Bill, you do not need ask it in this way … you know … I know … people know … we just walk this way again to a "personal" hunt … this is not cool at all …

I remember back in 2011 when TMP ran a lot of "should the OFM…" polls.
None of them were run with the courtesy of asking me if it was ok.
They were all mocking in tone. Shall I say "bullying"? Perhaps not, but they sure annoyed me, to the point I left in a huff.
I even called you to task when you ran a similar poll on Connard Sage, who is now not exactly my favorite person, but I would do it again.

Please refrain from running similar polls in the future if you do not clear it with the subject involved.

It is ALWAYS bad policy to run polls asking members to voice an onion on another forum member. Particularly such a polarizing figure.

IUsedToBeSomeone07 Oct 2016 1:36 p.m. PST

No – he's on ignore…

Kinda with the OFM on this one.

Dale Hurtt07 Oct 2016 2:03 p.m. PST

No, just blogs I did not know about.

And Tango01, although this is not cool with you, I still appreciate what you have done.

Dynaman878907 Oct 2016 2:07 p.m. PST

Not that I can remember. He has pointed out interesting articles over the years that I otherwise would have missed and also reposted a couple of things that I managed to miss the first time too.

chuck05 Fezian07 Oct 2016 2:17 p.m. PST

No. I ignore him.

Evzone07 Oct 2016 2:20 p.m. PST

Yes on many occasions and I rely on him to be my radar. Despite his detractors I think he does a good job. Viva Tango!

Yes, definitely. Recently, too, in fact. And Winston and the Weasel also speak for me, above.

basileus6607 Oct 2016 2:42 p.m. PST

No models, nor figures or rulesets, but some of his posts have make me take notice of books that I bought later. Maybe I would have found them regardless, but he saved me time.

nazrat07 Oct 2016 3:15 p.m. PST

Yes, glad to have an extra set of eyes out there looking for cool stuff for me!

Yes many times – cost me lots of monies- Tango Yankee!

79thPA Supporting Member of TMP07 Oct 2016 4:04 p.m. PST

Yes. I recently purchased two books that I didn't even know existed. I just finished one, and I am currently reading the other.

Dave Crowell07 Oct 2016 4:16 p.m. PST

yes, but the same could be said of a number of other TMPers.

I like the knack he has for finding cool stuff.

I don't think it's fair starting a thread just to single him, or any other one member, out for attention.

Big Red Supporting Member of TMP07 Oct 2016 4:51 p.m. PST

I'm with Winston on this. In the future, please ask the member if it's OK.

The Beast Rampant07 Oct 2016 5:47 p.m. PST

I am also with Winston on the matter.

This just seems like it's inviting TMP'ers to come right out and say who they stifle and/or ignore.

PzGeneral07 Oct 2016 5:47 p.m. PST

I consider ignore to be one of the better functions of TMP…..

Deeman07 Oct 2016 8:50 p.m. PST

Winston Smith08 Oct 2016 3:56 a.m. PST

As with the "Should the OFM ….." polls, this too is nothing but an invitation to attack the subject. In this case, it's an invitation to come out and tell us who you have put on Stifle and Ignore.

This thread is every bit as irrational as Roger Goodell suspending his biggest star, Tom Brady.

shelldrake08 Oct 2016 3:56 a.m. PST

No, on the ignore list as it makes it hard to see the posts I am actually interested in

Cambria562208 Oct 2016 8:10 a.m. PST

No. And now I make use of TMP's enhanced functionality (Stifle/Ignore), I can see the stuff I'm actually interested in much more easily :-)

The Beast Rampant08 Oct 2016 8:56 a.m. PST

I consider ignore to be one of the better functions of TMP…..

No argument there. But that's not my point.
