Anyone have a go-to site for spray can primer/base coats for US and German armor?

Thanks

Thanks, but their spray cans are pricey as hell.

Just saw some Tamiya spray paints for nearly 1/3 the cost (granted it's a smaller can, but I don't need a lot)

I use Tamiya. They work fine and it's convenient to have a matching jar for touch-ups as needed.

I use Testor Model Master. Panzer Gray(FS 36076), or SAC Bomber Tan(FS 34201) for German. Olive Drab for US(FS 34087). Like Rich Bliss I get a matching jar for touch ups.

Just use a brush, I do.

Model Master OD is a good match for WW2 US OD. (Do not use the straight "Testors" though, it's better for postwar OD).

The Krylon Olive Drab spray that you can get at Wal-Mart or any decent hardware store isn't too far off to my eyes. I've got most of my US tanks painted with it.

I usually use the Model Master #1911 OD for WWII Olive Drab.

I usually use the Rust-Oleum Camouflage Deep Forest Green for Post War Olive Drab, I get it at Wal-Mart.

I use the Model Master #1950 for Panzer Gray
And Tamiya TS-3 Dark Yellow for German vehicles, mid-to late war.

Don't worry that some of these paints don't come in a jar, you can decant the spray paint into a jar. Buy empty jars from Hobby Lobby, and spray the paint into a funnel over the jar, it will drain right into the jar. Works just fine. Wear disposable gloves, unless you want OD colored hands, and work outside.

There are several YouTube videos that show various methods. YouTube link

Am in Uk and use Plastic Soldier Co. Sprays. Great product, and a can goes a long way- 30 to 40 vehicles. Not sure where you are based, or if they are available on the other side of the pond.
