I am getting closer to launching my Klingon fleet but I need bases. The type that fit into a hole in the bottom of the ships.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Depending on how big the hole is, look at plastic cocktail glasses in the dollar stores.

I think Mongoose still sell circular plastic bases with flight pegs, rather like the old Citadel ones. I have a bunch, and they serve pretty well.

Although it does rather depend on the rules you plan to use. I'm assuming you're not modding Firestorm Armada or something else with square bases, but I could be wrong!

I am going to play the Star Trek game by mongoose publishing. I'll check their website.

If you want the ball and socket type that you can remove, Iron Wind Metals still sells them:

CorSec Engineering gets a mention as well.

The Omni-Stand system allows you to switch between a fair number of different bases, making using ships in different rules straightforward. corseceng.com/omni-stand

Unintentionally sold you a pup, PP; however tiny tin troops seem to have the Mongoose bases in stock:

tiny tin troops

A number showing 'sold out', and I think it's EU-orders only.

Too bad; I would have liked to have given them a go.

I hate those shitty plastic flight stands with a burning passion.

So I have been using resin bases with a metal pole I got from

I am much happier with their sturdiness BUT they are incredibly badly cast and wonky in every possible way (the sides of the bases are not the same lengths, the hole often isn't in the middle of the base, the bases are thicker on one side than the other and a host of other problems)

For larger miniatures I have been replacing the metal pole with thick brass rod. It turns out wobbly space ship stands *really* offend me.
