I finally finished off my Maersk Tesla Corporate Marines Platoon project. It's made of nearly all the "Vangaurd" units from 3 game boxes of "Sedition Wars Battle for Alabaster". 55 figs and 3 drones in all!

The figs are all cast in restic and there were assembly issues for some, but considering the ridiculously low price of the game and the good quality of the sculpts, I'm more than willing to put in the additional prep-time that restic requires. The basic troopers had been done for some time and even saw action in our 28mm games of Mech Attack, but I recently finished a set of 4 personalities and 3 gun drones.

Lots more pics, process, etc here: link

For those interested, my work last year on the first set of basic troopers and my review of the figs can be seen here:

Looks good – I keep thinking about picking up one of those boxes, and the terrain expansion.

Is the Barker Zosa fig one from the box, or one of the specials? And were your boxed sets the smaller or larger figs?

Thanks!
All the figures came from the core box set that you can usually get on amazon for 25-30 (right now for $22 USD!) link

I didn't buy any expansions, but I'm not sure what you mean by smaller or larger?

My buddy has the terrain expansion and I got a few doors from it. If you can find one, it's a pretty good deal for a bunch of sci-fi doors and some guns. If gluing them flat to terrain you will have to take about a quarter inch of the bottom section of the doors and a bit off the upper corner as I did when building my sci-fi train.

Before modification the back of the door was exactly like the front.

Lastly, if you want to get into the game, check out boardgamegeek.com they have the updated rules and such. I never played it but reportedly the original rules left alot to be desire.

Oh, you did that Cat toy train conversion I was drooling over!

Smaller or larger – from reading some of the reviews of Sedition Wars, apparently in the early part of the production run, the restic figures were notably smaller than what they were supposed to be – people were talking about a 3mm difference between Barker Zosa models in restic and in metal. The later part of the run was larger, in line with what McVey was selling in metal.

(Looking at your Mech Attack games, I really need to get up to Adepticon sometime – I'm down near Indy.)

Yep, the train project is well underway. I hope to start painting soon.

I didn't know about the size issues. These guys don't seem smaller than my other 28/30mmmm stuff but I don't have any McVey stuff to compare it too.

You really should come to Adepticon. I've only been going for 3 years now, but they've really expanded well past the 40k-centric event they were formerly (though there's still tons of that) We'll be running Mech Attack in 28mm again and this time there will be copters and VTOL craft!
