Fooling around on THW tonight, I ordered a free set of rules, but had some problems downloading them. I appealed to Ed via email to email the rules to me. I expected maybe Monday evening I'd receive the rules, but less than two hours later (Well, it is Two Hour Wargames, after all!) the rules were in my email. On a Saturday evening, no less. This surpasses all expectations of service. I hope I don't create a rush on rules that Ed will now have to give up his weekend dealing with, but I had to post praise for him and THW. I've always had good, personal service from THW and this just continues that tradition.

There are never enough good things to be said about Ed, his customer service, or his product. The man is the platinum standard of service and customer care, as well as product support. As I have humorously said about him before, he is the crack dealer of war games rules: get you hooked on the free rules he offers, next thing you know, your credit card statement is crowded out by purchases made to him. I think he took it as a compliment when I called him the crack dealer of wargames rules. After that I bought the starship rules for "5150"…

The first publisher with a system that stuck for me (in use about 8 years now) post-GW. Definitely helped that customer service was so good-- and back in those days the email list was really a font of gamer knowledge.

I've been a customer for many years now, got almost all the rules he's ever published over those years, and never had anything but truly outstanding service. Puts bigger companies absolutely to shame. And the rules are a lot of fun, too. Using the D6 sets now to introduce my grandsons to wargaming and it's going very well.

2HW is the only company where I'd buy a game sight unseen, without reviews and in a period I didn't like, just because that's where it came from.
