Does anybody know how well the 15mm figures look if based and used together?
Im considering ordering from Stone Mountain but would like what ever i order to have some semblance of looking good with the old glory figures i have.

I bought both many years ago. They mix well, and can certainly be on the same table.

I have been re-basing them over the last few months, and have discovered that I like the Stone Mountain figures MORE than I did when I bought them 25 years ago. That surprised me, because I turned into a figure snob in my old age, buying only AB or Battle Honors Napoleonics, or Perry-quality 28mm's.

They look weird on the same stand but in different units they are perfectly good.

Thanks, Flashman. Holy Cow, those PP figures are small!

mwindsorfw30 Sep 2016 7:30 a.m. PST

The Peter Piglets, perhaps?

Bashytubits30 Sep 2016 7:32 a.m. PST

Looks like he is crouching to me, so maybe not as small as first appearances.

Thanks for all the input guys! Flashman that definitely was very helpful! Looks like i will be ordering then now!

Peter Pig ACW 15mm figs are noticeably smaller than Stone Mountain or Minifigs.

This does keep re appearing. I think Extra crispy has some 8 year old out of production stuff too?
The figure shown has been out of production for 7 years!
It is a BOY soldier !
Peter Pig ACW is one of the most comprehensive ACW ranges out there with 300 original poses ( no conversions). gun crew packs have 4 poses. Cavalry packs are 1 piece castings for greater integrity. union infantry have the forage cap and not kepi. The water bottles on Rebs and union are even different.
The figures are the same size as the minifigs. Any taller and they would be part of the 18/20mm scale size. There is another site out there too which shows a comparison of ACW using figures that are 8 years out of production.

Please don't listen to this propaganda and mis information. The Peter pig ACW site has the most comprehensive set of photographs of 15mm on the entire web. each pack is pictured in a revealing undercoat, no covering up figures with a paint job.

So here it is. Judge the PP range by our very well illustrated website NOT by pictures of figures that have been out of production for many years. Be brave and go to the actual website. Then if you think they are all wrong then at laest you have had a look.

If you publish a comparison site then be fair and give correct information.
I still have some minifigs ACW strips would they be useful for comparison photos?

Martin is right – though they still are among the smallest. This post was about Stone Mountain and Old Glory so I let the PP example slide.

Wow, some folks are touchy. I judge Peter Pig's sizes by putting them next to my Minifigs and Stone Mountain and they are noticeably smaller.

Not a point of being "touchy" it is about getting the facts right. I am always keen that information given is correct to the best of my ability. Incorrect and ,misleading information damages my income, such as it is. I suspect you might be touchy if someone mis-reprsented what you do or produce?

I like mixing Stone Mountain's artillery crew with Old Glory's. They've got a few poses OG doesn't and they look good painted up together. Stone Mountain also has packs of standard bearers which I use alongside Old Glory figs. When painted up and based together they look fine. Stone Mountain figs have few less details but paint up nicely. Their artillery also matches up well size wise with Old Glory's.

Martin Here's an idea. Put your own figure comparison photo up and put any misinformation to rest. I think that's your best shot.

How about mixing AB figures with Blue Moon figures?

Soreny22MN01 Aug 2018 10:44 a.m. PST

Not trying to revive a dead thread but does anyone have any newer peter pig comparison photos like above?

bobm195902 Aug 2018 4:54 a.m. PST

PP's current range of ACW is excellent. Same overall stature as Minifig and height as Essex but much better sculpts and far more variety of pose.

Thanks bobm1959. Just trying to add to my lead pile and was looking to do the 1st Minnesota.
