Here is the final battle at Khartoum. It was put on by Bill Hogan and the pictures don't do it justice. The fortress model of Khartoum was pretty impressive. Enjoy the pictures. Last Stand

I learned to my regret that Last Stand Dan well deserves his nickname. After killing his subordinate officer I engaged his single figure with a unit of Hadendoa swordsmen and another of Ansar jehadiyya (riflemen) who scaled up to the rooftop on the ladders. In the ensuing 2-turn melee, Dan killed 5-6 figures and wounded or hurled from the roof about 5-6 more figures before being captured. As he noted in his battle report, his subordinate officer also acquitted himself well before succumbing to his wounds. Well played, Dan! Emir Rick |

The fort is from Vatican Enterprises |

The fort is an old Hudson and Allen rendition. I believe available from Vatican Enterprises for about $140 USD for 4 pieces. Or you can have mine for $200 USD plus postage. |
