I'm finally getting some figures painted and basing has started. So I've added a page on Successors. As I start to get things photographed I will begin posting pics within the OOB listing. No pics at the moment, but should start having them up this weekend. link |

Ah, Raphia. I look forward to the photos and OOB. Have you started on the terrain, or still in the dreaming and scheming phase? Exciting! |

I shall look forward to seeing the pictures. Raphia terrain; shouldn't be too challenging! A wide scrubby plain- optional dunes at one end. |

Sounds like you're off to a good start with a good plan in place. |

The board used at that first Partizan is the direction I am going. I particularly like the grayish color and the wheel tracks and plowed fields. Very nice. I am going to attempt something similar. My thought are a series of 30x40 boards, perhaps 5-6. Will give me 40x150-180". But not positive that will be long enough. I need to map out the frontages and see how much room I need. I hope to have pictures up tonight. My Persians are really colorful. Perhaps not what was actually there at Raphia, but at least no one who was there is around to correct me. |

Beautiful. This is going to be some project when you're done! |

Yes very nice indeed. The cloths on the elephants are very special, especially the second and third. Did your painter base them on any particular design? |

Unfortunately my originality is virtually non-existent for many painting details. As I state on my Blog, I do my best to find painted figs online that are what I deem to be about as good as you can get and the attempt to duplicate. I am hopeful this will be seen as flattery to those whose work I am using. |

These are the Seleucid Asiatics – 4 units of Carmanians, Medes, Cadusians and Cissians – around 12 figures each representing about 5000 men total. I have double based them at 120mm wide. They are a mix of Crusader Persian bows, javelins, etc. They will fight in the game as formed Light Infantry with some Missile ability.

Here is a leader sample. I am thinking of mounting all command stands on large hexagons. This is Lysimachus the Gaul, who commanded the small 1500 man skirmisher contingent of Lydians and Cardaces on the Seleucid left. I'm reasonably confident that he would not look like this picture (a Crusader Gaul mounted command), but since he was "the Gaul" I thought I would use a little license.
