How many times have you used 54mm monsters in a 25mm game?
This is about models you can use in a variety of different scales.

So….
What figure models are "scale ambiguous"?

1. Dragons
2. Giants
3. Space ships
4. Trees
5. Bats
6. Ents
7. Stompy robots and mechs

Add to list. grin

Note:
This is not about using 1:144 planes in a 15mm WWII game. Or stuff like that.

Most sci-fi: your 15mm troops can be the local pygmies against the other guys 28mm humans. And they can be armed with 6mm tanks as remote robotic crawler units.

And if you're not too offended by the aesthetics of it all, scale doesn't really matter anyway because our well painted* minis are really just glorified game pieces.

* Yours are probably well painted, mine…not so much.

I am actually pretty free and easy with terrain of all types, trees, buildings, hedges, bridges. As long as it is functional.

I've used 2mm bridges with 15mm stuff, and 6mm trees with 2mm figures etc.

I almost always sub scale buildings, a lot of 6mm buildings are so huge they'll work with much bigger figures.

I never really knew what to do with my Minifigs S&S range cyclops, standing a gigantic 25mm tall just like everything else….

…until I did a Greek legends army in 6mm.

I don't know that scales are "irrelevant" or "ambiguous" for the figures (nor would I advocate picking on people about the proper use of words), but I have lots of figures that can be used at multiple scales.

Pretty much any 15mm scifi or fantasy figure works for a smaller hordling in 28mm+. Same thing the other way around.

Kaiju are another good bunch of multi-scale use figures. How tall is Godzilla? Well, sometimes that varies from scene to scene in the same movie …

My Fifty Foot Woman for 15mm can be the 26 12' Girlfriend in 28mm.

Giant vehicles can work, but regular vehicles for which you have a real-world referent, not so much. Same with buildings.
