Dan, HOLY MAHDI, my friend, that is one epic trilogy of colonial wargaming goodness you wrangled!!! Looks truly outstanding. Just wish I could've been there to partake! One question: Did a lot of the same players stick around for 2 or 3 of the 3 interconnected games or was it more one-off participants? How much impact did the results of the first game have on the second, and the second have on the big part III finale at Khartoum? It sounds on your blog like there was at least some carry-over effect, but I'd love some more details of how you worked that out. Thanks so much for posting so many AARs! |

This was a wonderful series of games. To address the Mad Guru's question, I think most of us played in at least 2 of the 3 games. My 2 sons & I broke off from the 2nd game to watch the Gators squander a 21 point lead, letting Tennessee rack up 38 unanswered points. Ouch. We regretted missing the second game! Rick |

Dan, another great AAR. But what really continues to amaze me is the awesome boats you made!!!!! You've single handedly resparked tremendous interest back into the Sudan with your boats. I think every South Florida colonial gamer now owns at least 1 or 2 of your gunboats and several dhows. Have you set up a link to sell them on your blog yet? I'm also impressed with Bill's Sudan terrain. His rockey out crops are very cool. I also like the rifle pits. Cheers, JB Sgtguinness.blogspot.com |
