Put together an order and mailed it into Alnavco, was informed that the majority of the Superior line is now OOP. Disappointing as they made some ships no one else did. |

The folks at Viking Forge may be able to help. Their ranges are still growing. |

Don't forget Shapeways they make some nice ships as well and their prices aren't too bad. |

Always frustrated by Superior/Alnavco. 1. Place order. 2. Get message that most of the order is unavailable. 3. Try to figure out what else I can buy. 4. Maybe hear again that part is unavailable. They do not keep up their inventory and do not show on the website what is currently available. Quit buying from them after I asked if I could buy extra turrets for one of their models which had been in my collection for some time and damaged in a problem in my house. Their response was place an order for some other models and they would make the turrets available. "F" em. |

A real shame. IIRC, they just supposedly put some stuff back in stock as well, in 1/2400th Moderns. |

With Allen, if you are going to run a business now days you need to keep your website up to date. Attempted to order a number of modern ships from every navy they had available and only 1 British pack (Sheffield) was in stock. Everything else said it was available, so getting that e-mail was annoying to say the least. Likely done with Alnavco/Superior, there are so many offerings out there now I can go without the "minor" navies (French, Italians) and wait until home 3-D printing becomes just a bit more economical (and it is headed that way). Once that day arrives, no more "I wish someone made that in 1/2400 scale"……… |

Alnavco stopped supporting their Superior 2400 scale ship line ages ago. Their models are a bit smaller than most other 2400 scale manufacturers so their demand has always been a might thin. What they have had on their website represents the tailings of whatever they had left over. Regrettably, their support for their 1200 scale Superior line has not been especially stellar either. They normally have on hand only about 15% of their catalog. FWIW, I will be listing some Superior 2400s on eBay starting 8p Sunday. I sold off a bunch last week. |

As KPinder said, Alnavco has been iffy for a long time. Tried ordering some 1/2400 WWII (about 50 ships) some years back; everything was out of stock. And they were not esoteric types, by any means. Don't know what's keeping them afloat, but certainly isn't their 1/2400 line. |
