(Not having a copy of the rules for this game…) I've noticed that the edges of the tiles are half spaces. Not a problem when two halves are placed together (which make one space.) Do the rules explain what happens with a half space up against a solid wall section? (Like for movement and shooting.) I'm assuming the half space is treated as a full space (though it might get crowded actually trying to place a miniature on it. ;-) Thanks for any info! |

I think the half spaces should be treated as 'not a space' when up against a wall. They're there to give the minis elbow room (so the walls don't get in the way of weapons and such). Of course it's been a while since I've seen it, so I could be wrong. Ask my wife…she'll verify that I'm probably wrong. |

I didn't see it in the rules on the LoS forums, but I didn't reread the entire thing, just the section on Movement. The forum is at: link I will dig out my rulebook from the blue box and see if it has it after I get some sleep. |

I haven't had a chance to dig out the blue box rulebook yet, but I've quoted your question on the LoS Forum and will put their reply here for you. |

No answer on the LoS forum yet. The only info on half squares I can find is in the Scenarios booklet (black box) that states: Half squares are only usable by a figure which is entering the board. A figure must pay movement point(s) when entering the board onto a half square. If the player is exiting the board with a figure no movement point(s) are spent to move off of a half square, the figure is considered off the board when it moves on to it. The Scenarios chapter of the (blue box) rulebook says exactly the same thing. But that doesn't answer your question on how to use them if they aren't on a tiles entry/exit point. So I would either treat them as if they weren't there as Stryderg says OR treat them as a full square. Either way, make sure to let your opponent know and see if they agree. |

Thanks for your help all! I think I'll just treat half spaces as 'full' spaces. I'm building a LoS 3-D tile set, and (slowly) writing up a set of generic rules to use with that and my other 3-D DOOM and Space Hulk sets that I've built, so half spaces will get integrated somehow… ;-) |
