Rome turns to the southern region of Egypt to confront the Nobades, a warrior race that supplanted the Meroitic Kush. link Cheers, Robert |

Robert, I'm thinking of a possible way to use those attractive tall hills of yours easily for DBA. An element that contacts the bottom of the hill is treated as in contact with an enemy element opposite it, but on top. If the hilltop defender recoils, normal follow up rules apply. What do you, and perhaps other DBA players, think? Because it is nice to be able to have such tall and nicely sculpted hills in the game – they add a lot to the look and feel. If people think my idea would work, I plan to make some in that style. |

The pressed Styrofoam material is 40mm thick so there are a few ways you can treat measuring the distance of troops to even include the vertical (1BW) which is what we do at the moment. The method you described works as well, but all participants should be aware of how the terrain pieces affect movement. I too like the tall hills as they are a constant reminder about visibility issues. I experimented with another option, lower hills but adding rock formations on top as scatter material to denote them as "difficult". I may sculpt a 20mm high hill and add larger scatter pieces and see how this looks. |

Thanks for the reply Robert, I do like the tall hills and hope to play test your idea in due course. |
