We're bringing it back. There's not much content yet, but Editor Julia is busy extracting the information from the old Rules Directory for the new directory, and of course we'll be adding new rulesets as time allows. Note that you'll be able to rate the rulesets as they are listed. We have not yet added the ability to make comments, that is coming. |

Great news. The ability to review rules, see ratings and eventually comments will enhance the value of TMP. Thanks! |

We will also need help to update some of the older listings. |

Cool. I've been trying with little success to replicate it at my web site so I can hand this one back to you! |

Huzzah! How about post submission guidelines. I'd be interested in contributing. This was (and will be)one of the main things that attracted me to TMP when I first started out in this hobby. A great resource for growing the hobby. |

Is there a template to follow for reviews? I'd be willing to do a couple. |

Me too! I would be happy to do some directories on some of the Ganesha games; Drums and Shakos Large Battles, for instance. |

Looking at a few of the entries (especially the one for Clan War), I'm not sure if putting all the info in the left column is a great idea. Part of it might be nostalgia for the old setup where it was reserved for links leading to different parts of the review (as well as user comments). Now I don't have a solution on hand, but I am saying it's currently a bit awkward for big entries. |

I'm kinda OK with the left column thing. It is the quick synopsis of the rules. The center is for the detailed overview. I think it is a decent layout. |
Extra Crispy | 27 Sep 2016 7:13 p.m. PST |
I think the layout is awkward too. Better to keep to s single column but maybe with hot links: 1) Specs (Era covered, scope of the game, author, publisher etc.) 2) Game Scales (Time, ground scale, basing) 3) Mechanic/Rules Summary 4) Reviewer's Comments/Appraisal 5) Member Comments |

Excellent news. I also will be happy to help where I can! |

Wouldn't it be better to hold this back until TMP 4.0 is ready? Updating such a database to anything meaningful is a huge undertaking given the number of important new rules releases in recent years – given what's already there, you're virtually starting from scratch. |

Grumpy old Al says TMP 4.0 will never be ready and hooray for the return of the TMP rules directory. It will be great to have the rules directory back but I must give kudos to Mark (Extra Crispy) for the excellent directory on his site. Mark don't drop your directory just because TMPs is returning. Yours may have insights not available through TMPs. |
