The more versions of this mini come out on the internet, the more I realize that GW has lost their good painters.

I thought this model looked like GARBAGE when I first saw it. Though I still miss the butterfly wings. YOU'RE ELVES. EMBRACE THE CAMP.

The evolution of Citadel/Games Workshop

- "It's a … Troll ? Elf ? Treasure Chest ? Oh wait, it's an Orc !"

- "That's a nice Orc."

- "It's an Orc with a Mohawk and skullz."

- "It's a plastic Orc."

- "It's a very expensive plastic Orc."

- "It's a drastically more expensive plastic Orruk, you can't say orc anymore for copyright reasons."

- My fancy diorama attacks your fancy diorama."

There are a number of wargames, historical ones more so than fantasty, that are following the last part of that description and I welcome it.

The big bases that some people have put together for games like Impetus can look spectacular and really look like troops in combat.

Some of the FoW bases I've seen look like a group of soldiers fighting together rather than a bunch of individually posed soldiers doing their own thing in close proximity.
