In the Congo rule book there is a really nice model of a hot air balloon. Does anyone know who makes the model?

I have seen them made from foam "planets" you get at a craft store.

Here is the ATM model of the Intrepid on the eBay. I have one that fits in quite well with 28 mm figures.

There is also a model of a modern hot air balloon in HO from one of the German model railway kit companies, but I can't remember which one.

And if you ever find the Lego dirigible envelope grab it quick.

There's number of paper models of balloons from Fiddler's Green:

I believe they are HO scale but I've used them with 28mm

Maybe helps with the balloon miniature tabletop deployment. My version of the French d'Aeronautiers balloon for 25mm. The model is old Faller HO scale kit if I remember so a bit small for 28mm. My "pilot" miniature was a cut down 25mm Foundry French officer.
