nice report on the events.

though with all the cavalry running around it does not appear very dark ages, but that's my impression of what dark ages are…

The army in the photograph was cavalry heavy but the event went from the end of the Roman Empire to the consolidation of the Saxon kingdoms in the UK.

The infantry well outnumbered the cavalry on the day, although I think we all had at least one.

We had three Patrician Roman, three Saxon Heptarchy, one Merovingian, one Strathclyde British and one Romano-British.
