Just finished the construction phase of my Sci-Fi Train. Like almost everything I build it's a Toybash of resale shop toys. I've been wanting to build something like this for years and I finally got the right selection of cars, bits and engine. More pics and construction details here: link I'd love to hear any suggestions for paint scheme and whether to paint them all unified or each car differently.

I'm not familiar with Ghosts of Mars. What is it? I was a bit inspired by the train in the movie "Priest". |

Ghosts of Mars is a fun flick. Not very deep but it has tons of gaming potential. And it has Ice Cube and Pam Grier! Here is the train from the movie:

Ooh, that GofM train looks intimidatingly great. I'll definitely check that movie out. Thanks for putting up the correct links to the post. Looks like it's a bit to late for me to fix it myself. Much Appreciated! For folks interested in the trains… The Cat train is recently out of produciton but can occasionally be found online. I think it's the "Caterpiller Motorized Express". Watch out because the toy that is still widely available is smaller and closer to HO scale. The Train cars are from the "Disney Pixar Buzz and Friends Pixar Character Train". Long OOP, but there's some $20 USD examples on ebay. The engine that comes with it is actually pretty good if you get rid of Buzz and the rocket exhaust on the back. |

Hmmm, I've seen that train on sale in the local toy shop but thought it was way out of scale. I think I will take another look. |

It is probably a bit out of scale, but not by too much and the length of the cars is pretty compressed. Might not work for accurate modern, but for sci-fi it's pretty great. |
