Catapult Launched Aircraft Carrier?!? Sure it leaves port in a hurry but how do you "launch" it back to port for repairs and resupply? LOL! |

They do seem to have lots of money to burn, and are learning quickly from others. Interesting that they appear to have rather quickly abandoned the ski-jump style of carrier deck. Appears to me they are playing the long game, and have major plans. Rumor has it they might even covet an Atlantic Ocean airbase, if the US makes good on abandoning that. I think it is in the Azores, and is frequently used for basing strategic bombers, aerial refueling, and can also serve as an anti-sub aircraft base too. |

They do have a decent budget but they don't have the massive overheads and contractor induced sky high prices that many western nations endure. The move to CATOBAR is no surprise to anyone who has been paying attention to what the PLAN has been openly discussing for the last decade or so :) |
