Yes, I feel the time is right for us to launch a new venture, namely Startkicker. This site isn't the opposite of Kickstarter, but is rather a complement to it.

Startkicker would be a site where the public could fund me travelling around the world to find Kickstarter sponsors and kick them in their fleshy behinds until they get their KS funded, produced, and shipped out on time. No more year-long delays or half-hearted fulfillment of pledges! For the right amount, I will personally go to the sponsor and put my size 10.5 boot against their posterior. Call it "Kinetic Pedal-Gluteal Stimulation Therapy".

Be sure to keep an eye out for the launch of our other upcoming program, DidHeGoGo. This site will install spyware, hidden cameras, drones, and whatever other means are needed to ensure that an Indiegogo sponsor is actually following through on his commitments. If not, then my services will be available through Startkicker.

Be sure to get in on the ground floor, my friends. Investment inquiries may be sent to B. L. Madoff, Registry No. 61727-054, c/o Federal Correctional Institution Butner (Medium), Butner, North Carolina.

Sounds interesting.

Your first target could be Ken "Whit" Whitman, of the fictitious, D20 Entertainment, who allegedly scammed so many Traveller fans out of money for resin and/or metal, Traveller spaceships that he either never had produced, or that he produced, sold to backers and never shipped to them, and then re-sold the resin items to various retailers to double his profits, and reduce his actual shipping expenses by 50%.

It appears from the postings that most original backers never received the items they paid for.

He's also infamous for allegedly taking money for non-existent CDs/DVDs of Traveller-related, or other Sci-Fi TV projects, as well as merchandise for Knights of the Dinner Table (KoDT), Pencil Dice, etc., etc..

How hard is it to get custom-printed pencils made and shipped to people?

Not very, but this guy couldn't get it done.

Virtually every project he's ever touched has failed, if the on-line postings are to be believed. He certainly failed to provide me with the resin spaceships that were listed as "shipping" by him, months later. Thankfully, I got a Paypal refund for that, since he even refused to reply to their inquiries too. Many others didn't get refunds, since they were beyond the Paypal grace period.

See here, if you want to read about his antics, and Kickstarter scams/failures:

It sounds like a very worthwhile project. I'm a little short of funds at the moment, though. I'm backing Deadrule, the wargamer assassin to track down and shoot everyone who introduces rules not compatible with existing basing systems. I'm thinking of expanding his hit list to include everyone whose games require proprietary dice

I'm a little wary of investing. Just how do we know you'll follow up on your Startkicker obligations?!? Will I have to start a Start-the-Startkicker just to keep you on task? Will someone else feel the need to start a Start-the-Startkicker Kick Starting fund to make sure that I do my part? This is a tangled web we are weaving.

For the right price, I am willing and able to kick my own butt.
