Impressive pain work, wondering how old are these figures? My mother has told me one of her uncles when she was young had a collection of flats. |

Difficult to say – the forms, engraved in a special kind of stone ('Schiefer'), are in use for a long time. You can still get new castings from forms engraved in 1870 or before. 'Heyday' for forms like this would be 1920 – 1960, but older or newer is quite possible. However, due to their style and assuming these are 30mm or thereabouts, I don't think the forms are were made before 1900. |
