Would an AB 18mm British 6pdr gun work as a 20mm British 3pdr gun in 20mm? I need a 3pdr gun for my 20mm-1/72 British army, but none seem available, just 6pdr, 9pdr, and 5.5-in howitzer. Thanks, Jeff |

I doubt it AB's 18mm are closer to 20mm and there is a very noticeable size difference between the two guns I would suggest a smaller actual 15mm gun Essex 6pdr ?? |

This could be a problem, since the wheels of the 3-pdr were nearly the same as those of the 6-pdr and the 15mm wheels would be too small. |

Might work if you put 20mm 6pdr wheels on it. You'd probably need to put a wider axle under the gun, too. ABs are 1/100 scale (or maybe 1/96), so they're about 25% smaller than 1/72. |

I guess I could also just use a 6pdr and remind folks it is a 3pdr that shoots accordingly? Thanks, Jeff |

Double trails or block? I must admit I was thinking block trails for 1812 Frenchtown/River Raisin, but I had not considered that the British guns might use older double trails from an earlier period, like the 5.5 howitzer. |
