Fogu Models sells several livings for the dark ages in 28 mm and in addition they are very quick to paint.

I recently got their Tomb and Beehive Hut – the quality is first class, similar (if not material then in sculpt and casting) with walls made by Tabletop World. These are quite easy to paint, too – give them a good black coat, then spray lightly with grey and bruch with light grey – perfect visual effect for just minutes of work. Absolutely worth it. I plan on getting the rest of the bunch as soon as I can spare the money :-) |

Certainly not Scotland. I'd have doubts about Ireland too. |

No place that does n't have firm stratified rock that is exceptionally easy to cut but does n't split or crumble. Offhand I can't think of anywhere that these would be good for the middle ages….the little round one maybe for Skara Brae maybe, but that's hardly medieval. |
