Compared to Flames of War, Team Yankee is (fill in the blank). |

…faster and deadlier. …more addictive. I feel the need to collect 'em all. |

…too fast, too deadly, no fun. |

I haven't played Team Yankee but I did paint some of the figures. They are really nice and the fact that they put the unit cards in with the packs along with instructions on how to base the various unit stands is also a nice addition. Overall I'd say that Team Yankee packs are about 20% better just in terms of production quality for the gamer than Flames of War. |

Like comparing Medal of Honor: Allied Assault to the latest Call of Duty. Similar game play principals and game play mechanics, but the latest FPS benefits from having maps that reflect the different weapons used – something Team Yankee would arguably benefit from (ie a larger playing surface). |

Version IV of FOW will mirror Team Yankee! |

Probably a better game in 1/285 than in 15mm. Others have noted that TY would benefit from a larger playing surface and this is probably the simplest way to get it… The quality of the figures is great though. |

What first seams like a simpler Team Yankee rule set reveals itself to have an elegance that FoW doesn't. It's a quicker game, far more deadly and thus can be less forgiving. Fans of a passive sit-and-shoot defensive play style in FoW won't like Team Yankee's more aggressive battles of maneuver. |

28mm Fanatik …faster and deadlier. Certainly no argument here on that point. In the games I have seen, None have gone beyond the 6th turn and a cpl were completed by the 5th. And not uncommon for one if not both sides to loose entire armor platoons in a single turn, depending on scenario (and dice of course). |
