Can any of you good people recommend something that looks like the sled that #2 (Largo) transported the atomic bombs under water in the movie Thunderball? I have looked and have not found anything appropriate. Thanks. |

What size/scale are you looking for? And can you provide a link to a pic of what you're after? Thunderball predates a lot of TMPers…. |

General info---It is a Swimmer Delivery Vehicle SDV The movie modified a Seahorse-II from an Italian Mfr. There is a nice one in the Thunderball board game if you have crazy money to spend on a very rare item |

I have one of these, in the box if you wanna give me $30 USD(includes shipping) I'll sent it to ya! It's bigger then the actual one in the film, I think. But hey, it's just updated! I take PayPal. PM me or answer back here. Peter Link: auction PS- This is NOT my auction, just a pic of what I have. |

Don't know of any, so may have to scratch-build one myself, out of clay, or some other sort of disk object. A breathing inhaler might work, since some are roundish like that. Called a nebulizer, I think. Beware of any residual powder in it, when deconstructing. Just watched that movie again last night. Great fun. |

Almost forgot to add, Matchbox has a green mini-sub out currently, which looks to be just perfect for the game. Bought my second one on Monday. Can't wait to get it into play. |

The old Goblintooth miniatures will be available shortly from On Military Matters perhaps their sled would work. TMP link |

Those models look pretty cool, but a pity about the wells for the nukes being the wrong shape. Probably did that to avoid IP laws. Now that I think about it, an older-style, rounded, shovel-nosed, resin hydroplane model would be about perfect for the conversion, I suspect. You can cut off the rear hull, and shape/sculpt on the main cockpit, and drill/sand/file out the nuke bomb wells. Add a couple of upright fins for the sides, and you're done. I think they're made in 1/48th and 1/72nd scale, if the one from OMM isn't the right size and shape. link |

I used a toothbrush case and the body of a cheap electronic game to build one. These things and a lot of epoxy putty. |
