We are smack in the middle of a major website upgrade and so adding new products to the store cant happen as normal until we have the new site live. But, here are some of the many new things we have been building and making and will be releasing on the store soon. If you want any of these, we will have stock and can take them to shows.
We are at Derby and SELWG in October.
See you there perhaps?

The new, NEW Sexton SPG. We have made some of these kits with resin bodies and metal tracks, but this baby is all made, just stick the gun barrel in at the angle required to the resin casting, Gun is made from white metal and comes with 5 crew and some optional stick on accessories

These models are a "Step change" in our designs, casting capabilities and are the future of where EWM is going. Highly detailed, single castings ready made, ready to paint with some optional additions or crew.

New 250 Nue. comes, well ready to paint. Just add some optional stowage and crew if you want to. £9.50 GBP each

O, and did I mention the Orlikeon AA gun with Abyssinians gunner? tom made these recently and we cast them last week, Comes with wheels and another crewman. Separate head so you can pose it how you like.

Arh, and the new new Italian cannone 65/17 mountain gun with seated crew, shield and will have a pile of shells. I have almost finished the new Alpini crew to go with this lovely model. again, made by Tom.

65/17 from the rear with seated crew

Arh, yes we did also make some mounted abbysinian cavalry, 2 in fact, open hands, separate heads, bare feet. Plus a tribal captain, lions maine, rhino hide shield, open hands, small pony. We have been busy, and there is more, just need to finish the new web site ?

Close up of the new Marmon Mark III, sand ladders fitted, turret hatches fixed open, crewman with bino's added. Hull is single casting, some much detail. totaly chuffed with this. Big thanks to Jan Giesbers who has allowed us to offer this war gaming version of his design. I made this master up whilst enjoying fine Dutch beer and cheese in his Man cave – see our Euro tour photo's.

Hope you like them
cheers

Tarleton21 Sep 2016 8:49 a.m. PST

The 250 Neu looks a cracker.

As do the Abyssinians and the Italian 65/17…………

Can't wait to see the new site. If its half as good as these……….. :)

Umpapa21 Sep 2016 9:25 a.m. PST

Everything looks awesome.

donlowry21 Sep 2016 3:20 p.m. PST

Might help if you mention what scale they are.

Von Miligan21 Sep 2016 11:38 p.m. PST

There is only one scale that we work in, glorious 20mm!!!!!!!

kabrank23 Sep 2016 2:35 a.m. PST

Of course the casting quality looks good enough to be 28mm

TunnelRat23 Sep 2016 6:29 a.m. PST

Sexton's – yep, gotta get me some of these.

Von Miligan23 Sep 2016 7:25 a.m. PST

If you want any of these before they go on the new store in about a months time, just email me at earlywarminiatures.com
Cheers

As it seems nobody else is going to mention it…

These look good but as far as I can see there appear to be some significant casting flaws on the tracks of both the 250 and the Sexton…?

Von Miligan23 Sep 2016 11:43 p.m. PST

Casting flaws???

These are crisp and lovely. There is a thin film between the wheels on the Sexton that you can pick out with your finger nail if you want to? No flaws here buddy!

People can see them in the flesh next weekend at Derby and then SELWG.
Plus, you can take the " Drop test" on these.

Drop test, this is where I drop the model onto a Concert floor. Nothing breaks off, our models bounce! Other crack and chip or shatter, NOT ours.
I have been doing this at shows for a while now. People look shocked as I drop it. Then when they see it's ok, I ask them to drop it too!
Not sure even plastic kits built from many small parts will pass the "drop test" either?
Might have to do a video of this. Anyone got any old plastic kits I can use?

"significant casting flaws on the tracks of both the 250 and the Sexton…?"

I see the flaws you mention but I'd call them minor, myself.

I've never had a "perfect" casting from any company.

donlowry24 Sep 2016 8:40 a.m. PST

There is only one scale that we work in, glorious 20mm!!!!!!!

Since I had never heard of your line, I had no way to know that. At least it's a scale I use. Is it available in the US?

Hornswoggler24 Sep 2016 7:05 p.m. PST

No flaws here buddy!

Suggest you take a closer look at photos #1 and #4 – the bottom outer edge of both track sections…

Tarleton25 Sep 2016 3:55 a.m. PST

Think you're splitting hairs really Horn………

Hornswoggler25 Sep 2016 7:10 p.m. PST

Think you're splitting hairs really Horn………

I suppose what I was really wondering was whether there is a problem with the masters and/or the casting, or if the examples photographed had been chipped after production.

The only reason I used the word 'significant' is that I have found tracks in these materials difficult to repair and I don't base my models.

Andy ONeill30 Sep 2016 7:24 a.m. PST

Although they do look quite nice overall, I think those flaws look noticeable.
Are they caused by bubbles or what?

Blacky75008 Oct 2016 1:17 a.m. PST

I love how everyone can be picky, easy to see many have never had a crack at running their own business, be thankful for what we have, we are streets ahead of where we are when I started in the hobby

Footslogger08 Oct 2016 2:20 a.m. PST

I'll be buying a couple of Sextons – I've been hoping EWM would do one. Compared to what resin vehicles used to be like, there's nothing there that I can't sort in a couple of minutes, and I congratulate them (and other manufacturers) in the advances they're making in mould-making and casting techniques.

Von Miligan13 Oct 2016 2:30 p.m. PST

Thank you gentlemen for your words of support. This was actually the first model out of the mold. I was very excited to show them after pulling the casting. In deed, the flaws were air bubbles, minor in the extreme. All casting since are now without the minor blemish on the track face.
I demoed them at two recent shows, "drop testing them" in front of customers. They bounce well and don't break up like plastic kits or cheap resin models do. I lost cot after 15 drop tests onto solid concret.
I hope all those who bought them enjoy them, and banks again for Al, the support here and on other forums.
