Hello,
Does anybody have any idea what the equivalent of Battlefront's TYP351 Soviet Green is in Vallejo model color? It isn't listed on the paint conversion charts that battlefront has.

does it have to be Vallejo?

Ammo Mig and AK interactive have very nice Russian green(s).

I'd like to know the Vallejo equivalent
Which of those two would you say is better?

Not sure which you're using but Vallejo does Russian Green and Russian Uniform Green. Uniform Green is lighter in color.

AFAIK there isn't a direct vallejo equivelant to the TY colour.

Well, this only seems to cover the earlier, pre-Team Yankee colours:

Vallejo 894 is Russian Green, it is a bit dark imho so I usually lighten it with a dollop of ochre (which also produces that pleasing horrible 'rotten dead thing' sort of shade real Sov AFVs fade to).

Looking at what period you need paint 4BO. 1950 – beginning of 1960 – one color (lighter, with a yellowish tint), then – other (darker). From batch to batch color changed, and most good option – to choose a shade on a photo.

Here's what is not burnt 4BO on the new tanks (this is 1981, GSVG trainings):

But 4BO fades and becomes yellowish color.

Etalon 4BO in the 1980-th year looks like this:

And just, canon 4BO structure is as follows:
Natural linseed oil 30%
Green chromium oxide 13.1%
Ocher dry 51.5%
Orange CZK 5.3%
