SAFoWG, the Sunday Afternoon Flames of War Gentlemen, has just begun a new campaign, the invasion of Sicily. Obviously, it's a bathtubbed game. The twist is that it is assumed that the Germans and Italians will be overwhelmed, and that the campaign is a contest between Montgomery (me) and Jim (Patton). Monty's team includes James. Jim's team includes Mark S. Tom is the sole Axis player. Now, more twists. Mark C, the campaign coordinator (God), will always play on the Allied side. (We trust him. It's tactical) taking command of a "company" in the game. When Team Patton is attacking, Team Monty plays with the Axis. When Team Monty is attacking, Team Patton plays with the Axis. Should be fun. |

Perhaps the title of the campaign would be instructive. "The Race to Messina" We have to cooperate to defeat Germans. Until we don't. |

Nobody liked Messina. Why not race to Loggins? 8)= |

nazrat: OUCH!!! I just hurt myself laughing. Winston: That sounds like a really cool game. As his holiness the editor said so eloquently, "Keep us posted…" |

Well, that's a really neat idea. |

Indeed. I can see stealing, uh, imitating this idea in other periods. |
