Hi all,

Just out of curiosity has anyone put 50 cals on their 1/300th 1/285 M113s or GPMGs on their FV432s? A BMP or a Marder look like they are armed, but the US/GB APCs look a little vulnerable.

If anyone has gone down this route what did they use to represent the guns? are there any sources for guns in 1/300th I wonder?

On an even more obsessive note has anyone crewed their APCs?

I've added a few, I chop up a suitable H&R figure with something that looks like an MG or which can be adapted and stick them on the turret.

Kropotkin303:

I used to put MG's on Cold War era tanks and APC/ICV's but they always seemed to break off during games so I stopped. The vehicles were cast all buttoned up, except WWII halftracks and universal carriers so no crew was added. I did try to fit some infantry upper bodies into some H&R Ram Kangaroos but they looked ridiculous so I stopped doing that.

Cheers.
Rod Robertson.

The GHQ I buy are 1/285 and come with any appropriate HMGs etc in the kit.

That said, a lot of what I buy is second hand and almost none of those models have any guns…

Some of the the GHQ and CinC vehicles have MGs in the packs to add on if desired. GHQ M-113s(especially Isaeli Zeldas have 3 Mgs(1 x.50cal, and 2 .30cals., T-72, T-62a(CinC)and WWII halftracks, both M-3s and Sdkfz 251s even have crew/passenger packs.

Most of the minis I have (GHQ and CinC) came with the MGs separate. I dutifully attached the MGs when new but over the years of gaming (most of these minis are over 20 years old and some are approaching 30), most have disappeared. Today I'd probably forego the trouble.

CinC sells AFV AA MGs separately.

Appear to only be M2 .50 calls and 12.7 DSHKs though.

Thanks Guys,

Looks like a "This way madness lies" scenario. Still 50 cals on the 113s would look cool. Pity I can't get CinC in the UK unless someone else knows better.

Of course, how else does one fuel their wargaming OCD!

The Games Emporium in Sheffield used to stock CinC alongside GHQ, but last time I looked on their website they didn't seem to mention CinC, so not sure anymore.

I think Wargames Emporium still do them. I've had some via them but CinC seem to take an age to fill orders (months!)

Looks like a "This way madness lies" scenario.

Pretty well put. They like nice, until the first game…
