After a slight delay, in which RL got in the way, I've finally managed to not only playtest my "Final Frontier" rules, but publish a batrep using them on my blog. link Home-made spaceships! Space as envisioned in Heroscape tiles! Lots of d6's! |

Well, that's certainly doing things differently! How many Heroscape tiles do you have?!? Looks like you had fun. Reminds me I'd better get cracking on my Trek rules! |

From your batrep, you mentioned the possibility of needing a ship systems display of some kind to keep track of your dice assignments. A simple way to do that would be to just have a sheet with large boxes for each system. Each turn, the player assigns dice by placing them in the appropriate area. When damage is taken, remove that number of dice from the sheet. |

Thanks all. I do have rather a lot of HeroScape tiles, although not as many as I did have. Whilst they may not be to everyone's taste, I like their modularity and versatility. And thanks for the suggestion regarding the ship 'sheet'. I was considering something along those lines – a combined record sheet and play aid for each ship. I'll probably include a template once I type the rules up. |
