Typically nice from Eureka, although grossly overbased to the point where it's the main thing you see. |

I know what you mean, but the painting is superb. They look like a bunch of West Ham away fans. The lass with the fruit….I know her, I work with her…I mean professionally…. How many times have I overdone the bases, such that the figures have disappeared in the rye or wheat field? It could do with toning down slightly…true. But the figures are inspiring. I would love these for a Paris street scene a few years later….something for the Gendarmes d'Elite to control. Snag for anyone outside OZ, is getting hold of these figures. I love Eureka's work. But my Saxon Garde du Corps…… Pay for the figures…fine Pay for the postage…..of course Find that they have been seized on entry to UK by HMRC……Oh Pay the Duty…….. Go to the postal office, which would not deliver and pay their handing charges……. The whole thing added 40% to costs. (The Saxons were worth it mind you) If only Fighting 15s would import more Eureka. Same with Bicorne Miniatures from USA…I simply cannot face the hassle. What will happen post Brexit I dread to think……..my Westfalia enthusiasm for example! |

Too bad about the antigravs, but I take it the guy's a modeller rather than a gamer. Nice dirty mob, though. More incentive to try to figure out how make a game with this guy: youtu.be/211XMa1D7lo Eureka already has figs for the aristocracy, wonder if they'll.do any more of "le Peuple"? Or does anyone else? Foundry had some at one time,IIRC. |

These are some superb sculpts and I can see a use for them in many other areas. Regards Russ Dunaway |

Actually Deadhead, I can see what you mean. Dirty, ragged and common clothing – so unlike the Armani that the Arsenal fans are wearing…. But a real character-ful bunch of lads and lasses. Eureka are a really interesting company with some great ranges (the toy town are wonderful). Uk postage can be scary though, I agree |

I pick my Eurekas up from Salute. Saves a lot of grief. Very nice although on the small side for 28mm. |

Hello 4th Cuirassier your posting is very interersting for me..are you saying that 28mm Eureka French Revolution minis are on the small size? in this case they could be just my cup of tea..in fact my French Revolution collection is made out of "small" Charriot, Mirliton, Touller, Foundry types…can you confirm me please that those splendid Eureka could be compatible with the above mentioned manufactures? |

Tango01 Nice work but typical terminology. They are the workers who keep the country going and population growing, but come a revolution they are a mob! LOL |

Well these are all very well but after you've painted them up you got to model Paris… |

definitely no more than a "mob"….but we can, in any case, "let them eat cakes" |

ITALWARS--Are these the Foundry you have? link I'd also be interested to know if they fit with Eureka. Some of these might not be out of place: link Hey Russ, any chance you might add anything like these to your ranges, something appropriate to 18th century, perhaps? I have a bag of ECW Clubmen; how do the Medieval Peasants do? Well enough to consider expanding the historical parameters a bit? BTW,my all-time favorite title for an Old Glory pack: "Revolting Women and Children"! |

Yes Hafen..i have the Foundry represented in the firts link..plus Mirliton and Touller (my favourite and ufortunatly OOP) ..they are all on the small side…but the Eureka seem so nice that i would like to understand if, with some adaptation, they could be placed side by side with my already existing units…in the meanwhile i'm planning to order some few French Revolution types from Trent/North Star..as they do some exclusive types like Italian Bandits, Lombard Legion and Vandéans… |

@ Italwars That I couldn't say as I don't have any of the others. I do have some of Eureka's early era chasseurs a cheval. Those are quite short compared to Elite Miniatures 28mm infantry, to the point where I might want to thicken their bases a bit. I'd say they were bigger than classic Hinchliffe but smaller than modern 28mm. If Trent foot figures are anything like their accessories, they will be pretty large. I have the Trent four-horse hay cart, and the horses dwarf Elite, Hinchliffe etc. |
