Hello, I am considering getting a 3D printer and going down that road to print some wargames scenery. When initial looking into it I could not find designs for early North American houses suitable for American War of Independence or French and Indian War. I am looking for 28 mm but suppose any designs could be scaled differently on the printer. Has anyone seen sites selling designs for these periods or anything on the various free sites? For the AWI, most battle-related internet sites will have photographs of any relevant buildings that still survive, or have been restored/rebuilt. Other than that, a visit to Lexington/Concord/Battle Road, or historic Trenton, will give you some ideas. If you can't get there, drop them a line and they should be able to supply photos, possibly even floor plans in some cases. For F&IW, almost all of the fighting took place in frontier areas, so you will mainly be looking at log buildings/forts etc, bar the occasional "baronial residence" such as Johnson Hall, out on the Mohawk. Quebec and Ste Foy had a windmill, I think, but otherwise not much else. |

Thanks for the info. I think I was a bit unclear in my request I meant to ask I if anyone knew where any 3D print designs were available for houses in these periods not the historical info itself. Cheers |

Historic Trenton?? Not much left there. In my town we lost more witnesses to the AWI in the last ten years than ever before. Rising real estate prices and greedy developers…😱 |
